In an effort to foster better cooperation and understanding between the UCSD Police Department and the University Community, the department offers the opportunity for members of the campus community to ride with a UCSD Police Officer as the officer carries out patrol duties on the campus. The ride along program is offered to UCSD students, staff and faculty.To schedule a ride along, contact the UCSD Police Dispatcher at (858) 534-4357. The ride along is generally scheduled through the watch commander for the shift that will be working at the time of the desired ride along.

Note: Persons who choose to participate in the ride along program are expected to sign a department waiver form, and are subjected to a computer check for warrants and other law enforcement records.
