Residential Security Program Thirteen full-time Residential Security Officers (RSOs) are assigned to the UCSD Residential Security Program. The program, funded by UCSD Housing and Dining Services, is supervised by a police sergeant, corporal and three RSO team leaders. They are based at the UCSD Police Department. RSOs are responsible for providing comprehensive security and crime prevention services to five campus residential areas each night. RSOs provide escorts, identify security hazards, report criminal activity and suspicious persons to police, and enforce housing and university policies and procedures. RSOs work closely with the Residence Life staff at each campus, tailoring their patrol and service delivery efforts to meet the needs of the residents in their area.  Back
